PANO – The former Anti-aircraft Gun Battalion 1 of Military Zone 4 on July 18th received the “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” title in acknowledgement of its glorious feats of arms during the resistance war for national salvation.
In December 1964, Battalion 14 of Division 312 was moved to Military Zone 4 and renamed Anti-aircraft Gun Battalion 1.
During the national resistance war against foreign invaders, the battalion fought in southern battlefields and achieved many glorious feats of arms.
Since the restoration of peace, the unit was dissolved and on April 25th 2013, the State President signed a decision to present the unit the noble order.

PANO - Constituent units of Division 324 of Military Zone 4 should maintain discipline, promote training quality, raise vigilance and combat readiness, and be ready to fulfill missions. The request was made by Minister of the National Defence Ministry General Phung Quang Thanh while inspecting Battalion 2 of Regiment 1 and Signal Battalion 18 on November 9th. PANO - The Command of Military Zone 4 has received the second class Freedom Order from the Lao State and Government. On behalf of the Lao government, Savanakhet provincial deputy governor Khamphoi Phanthachon presented the order to the Vietnamese MZ. PANO - Military Zone 3’s (MZ3) Military School held a ceremony on April 8th celebrating its 70th traditional anniversary (April 10th) and receiving the third-class Fatherland Protection Order. This is the second time that the school received this order of the Party and State for its contributions to the development of the Armed Forces and the Vietnamese People’s Army. PANO - The Party Committee of Division 324 of Military Zone 4 has reviewed 10 years of implementing the Central Military Commission's Resolution 152 on public relations.
