On July 5, candidates for the national university entrance examination finished their tests for Chemistry and English language.
Candidate Nguyen Van An from Hai Hau Senior High School in the northern province of Nam Dinh said this is the second time he is sitting for the entrance exam in the Post and Telecommunication Institute in Hanoi, commenting that this year the chemistry test was easier than last year and he finished 80 percent of the paper.
|Supervisors from the People’s Security Institute for the Maths test, on July 4 detected a contestant sitting for the exams for another student. During the test, supervisors doubted his credentials from the photo on the certificate. However, to maintain calm, the supervisors let him finish the test but later took him to the Council.
The candidate could not give right parents’ or teachers’ names of his twelfth grade when questioned. At last he admitted to taking the test for another student. As per regulations, any contestant who asks another to proxy will be deprived of the right to study in any university and rusticated.
Candidates into police training colleges showed an increase by 17,150 in number compared to last year. For instance, 18,935 candidates including more than 4,000 girls taking part in People’s Police University; 20,483 in People’s Police Institute; 8,854 candidates in People’s Security Institute and 5,318 in People’s Security University this year.
According to educationists, contestants choose police colleges and institutes because these schools are free from tuition fee and jobs are available straight after graduation.
