PANO – The Border Guard Command on July 15th opened a sports festival in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province with the participation of nearly 600 athletes from 27 southern provinces, cities and border guard units.
During this five-day festival, participants compete in 10 categories such as strong soldiers, four combined-military sports event, K91 hurdle race, practical swimming, AK and K54 shooting and 10km cross-country running.
The event is to evaluate and promote troops’ health and select outstanding athletes for upcoming sports festivals.
