HA NOI – Phong Phu Ha Nam drew with HCM City in the opening match of the second leg of the National Women’s Football Championships, Thai Son Bac Cup, at the provincial stadium in the northern province of Ha Nam yesterday (June 9).
Both sides began play in attack mode, with Kim Hong scoring the first goal for the visitors in the 28th minute.
After the break, rising young talent Tuyeat Dung levelled the score for the hosts in the 85th minute.
In the day’s other match, Ha# No#i 1 easily defeated Ha Noi 2 2-0 to take the lead in the rankings with 15 points, followed by Phong Phu Ha Nam (11 points) and HCM City (nine points).
Six teams are competing in the second leg which will last until June 22.-VNS

HA NOI (Biz Hub)— Consumer price indices in the two largest cities saw strong increase in August due to a surge in health care service prices and petrol products. According to statistics from offices in Ha Noi and HCM City, August's CPI in Ha Noi rose 3.16 per cent over July and 0.31 per cent in HCM City. The consumer price index (CPI) in Ha Noi and HCM City for 2010 rose almost 10 per cent against last year. CPI in Ha Noi increased 9.56 per cent over 2009, fuelled by a rise of 1.83 per cent in December, said the Ha Noi Statistics Office.
