HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The US-based ARINC Incorporated announced that it was awarded a contract to provide systems integration for the new terminal at Ha Noi’s Noi Bai International Airport.
ARINC was selected as the subcontractor for this project by the Taisei-Vinaconex Joint Venture (TVJV), the company overseeing the construction of the new terminal.
ARINC will be deploying its industry-leading CUPPS compliant vMUSETM workstations at Terminal 2, together with SelfServTM Common Use Self Service kiosks, VeriPax Passenger Reconciliation Services and Flight Information Displays. — VNS

Vietnam has started the construction of the second terminal of Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport with an investment capital of US$968.2 million. NDO - The prime minister has allowed Hanoi to open three unsubsidised passenger bus lines to connect the city centre with Noi Bai Airport. Currently there are two subsidised bus lines, No. 07 and 17, running between Noi Bai Airport and Cau Giay and Long Bien Stations at a cost of VND7,000 (US$0.315) for each ride. Flight VJT813 was 9.7km away from the runway when the crew noticed a laser beam flashed into the cockpit from the right of the plane. According to the crew, the light source was located about 4.8km away from the airport.The pilot has reported and asked the managers of the airport to control the situation.After receiving the report, the Northern Airport Authority tried to call Hanoi and Vinh Phuc Province police but no one accepted the calls.
