Watch out New York — Lindsay Lohan is back in town, though she was greeted with some sad news upon her arrival Wednesday. The troubled starlet, who jetted to Brazil for “work” on March 27, had extended her stay there to party at Cafe de la Musique nightclub, drink herself under a table, hit the Brazilian version of Lollapalooza, and flaunt her black-and-blue bruised legs in a bikini while frolicking in the ocean.
Lohan’s official reason for flying to Rio de Janeiro, while she is facing court-ordered rehab, was to be the face of clothing line John John Denim. A series of messy appearances for the brand made her a cool $100,000.
But Lohan’s good time abruptly came to an end when she returned to mom Dina’s place in Merrick, L.I., her official and only home in New York. She learned very early Wednesday morning that Gucci, her beloved Maltese, had passed away. The oft-photographed pup had been a Lohan family companion for 15 years.
Gucci died Tuesday after Lohan had extended her trip a few days, but Dina didn’t want to put a damper on her daughter’s pre-rehab rager, so she delayed telling LiLo until she got home and got some rest. Meanwhile, Gucci’s body lay in state at the Lohan home while the family made funeral plans.
“She’s now at home with her mom, sister Ali and the dead dog they have yet to cremate. They are all crying and wanted Lindsay to say goodbye,” a source close to the family tells [email protected]
Gucci is survived by the Lohan family’s two other doggies, the adorable Buddy and Chloe.
Despite the loss, it’s back to work for the troubled actress, before she does her stint in rehab. Next week she’ll be at the Los Angeles premiere of “Scary Movie 5,” in which she shares a scene with pal Charlie Sheen, who believes for some reason he can save her. She also recently shot a role on Sheen’s “Anger Management,” where she reportedly stole bracelets from the set that were spotted on her wrist as she jetted off to Brazil.
Lohan, whose troubles are far from over, was sentenced in mid-March to 90 days in lockdown rehab, but has been stalling on choosing a facility while she gallivants around the globe. If she chooses not to go to rehab, her other option is jail.

Guitarist Richie Sambora is leaving the Bon Jovi tour to deal with personal problems.
BON JOVI’S SAMBORA TUNES OUT
A month after celebrating his 51st birthday, Jon Bon Jovi learned his band will be finishing the current leg of the “Because We Can” tour without troubled wingman Richie Sambora.
On Wednesday the band announced that “due to personal issues Richie Sambora will not be performing on this upcoming leg. All shows will go on as scheduled.”
[email protected] has learned from a close pal of the guitarist that his “personal issues” stem from drinking too heavily and that Sambora was “too messed up” to perform properly. This time around he’d been hiding the extent of his drinking from front man Jon.
Sambora has sought help with addiction on at least three occasions, once as recently as June 2011, when he took time off to seek help before catching up with the band in Europe for a show in Croatia.
Bon Jovi was slated to play their first show sans Sambora Wednesday night in Edmonton, Alberta. The North American leg of the tour is set to end April 25 in San Jose, Calif.
Bon Jovi’s reps did not return a request for comment.

ZOSIA STILL ‘REALLY’ INVOLVED’s life has become a soap opera. On Easter Sunday, the “Girls” actress (above) was spotted holding hands with her former “Really Really” co-star Evan Jonigkeit, whose IMDB page lists an uncredited appearance on CBS’ “As the World Turns.” An Off-Broadway show, “Really Really” closed Saturday after three months at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Looks like two of its stars came away with souvenirs.
LOVE’S A JOLT WITH E-CIGARETTES
Courtney Love is promoting healthy living. Relatively speaking, anyway. The hard-living 48-year-old Hole singer stars in a commercial for electronic cigarette company NJOY that hit the Internet Tuesday. In it, she’s approached by an elderly lady who admonishes her for smoking indoors at a party. “Relax. It’s a f—ing NJOY,” Love says, blowing a cloud of smoke into her accuser’s face. Maybe someday all of Love’s vices will be available in an electronic format.
MADONNA & KIDS ON FIELD TRIP Madonna took her adopted son David Banda and daughter Mercy James (above) back to Malawi — where she first met them. The trio were visiting the African country’s Kasungu district and toured the Mkoko Primary School, which was built jointly through the efforts of Madge’s Raising Malawi organization and Connecticut-based charity BuildOn.
GARTH SAVES THE DAY
Notoriously frugal actress Jennie Garth published her first post as a monthly columnist for online coupon site retailmenot.com on her 41st birthday Wednesday. It starts with the former “Beverly Hills 90210” actress saying, “I’m no Beverly Hills socialite. I’ve only played one on TV.” She goes on to talk about being raised in the small town of Urbana, Ill., and raising three daughters. “When you’re a single parent, finding a bargain becomes less of a nicety and more of a necessity,” she says. Thrilling stuff.
NEXT ON BEY WATCH!
Beyonce graces the cover of Vogue U.K., where she talks about feminism, hubby Jay-Z, her daughter Blue Ivy Carter and all her hard work over a 20-year span. As for her Super Bowl performance and embarking on her tour, the Mrs. Carter Show World campaign, Bey says, “I’m always bruised somewhere — my legs, my hips. But you’ve already started, so you’ve just gotta fight through it.”
Jenny McCarthy’s VH1 show will be getting another season.
JENNY COULD GET PICKED UP TWICE
While sipping vodka sodas at Chelsea’s Hotel Durex, sexy comedian Jenny McCarthy was overheard assuring well-wishers her self-titled VH1 show has been picked up for a second season. McCarthy said she wants the program to encourage people to feel sexy about themselves and more willing to “sexplore.” In love news, Louis CK told Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show Wednesday that he’d love to get to know McCarthy. After Louis revealed he made Jenny’s salary requirement of over $500,000 annually, Stern said he’d hook the comic up.
Louis CK told Howard Stern he’d like to meet Jenny McCarthy — and he’s got the income to handle it.

“Game of Thrones” actress Emilia Clarke enjoyed a girls’ night out at Dream Hotel’s Ava Rooftop Lounge Tuesday. … Kevin Spacey ordered a round of shots for friends at haute burger joint Hudson Common Monday night. … Robin Wright and Sienna Miller saw their significant others, Ben Foster and Tom Sturridge, respectively, perform in the play “Orphans.” … Musicians Tegan Quin and Jack Antonoff checked out photographer Daniel Silbert’s “One Night Only” photo exhibition of Antonoff’s band, Fun., at the lower East Side’s Design House Gallery.
ROSARIO HAS N.Y. FORMULA FOR PIE
Rosario Dawson couldn’t help herself when pizza was delivered to a party after the premiere of “Trance.” She confessed at that Cinema Society and Montblanc-hosted event, “I don’t live in New York anymore, so I try to milk every moment I can when I’m here. We almost picked up the pizza on the way to the premiere, but I figured a grease spot on my Bottega [Veneta] probably wouldn’t go over very well with the designer. But that was my treat coming back. I was thinking about it all night.” The actress also downed a bottle of Coke.
BETH’S SWINISH BEHAVIOR
We wouldn’t normally picture the beautiful Beth Stern rolling around in the dirt with pigs. But hey, you can’t stop an animal lover. Beth, mom to four cats and hopefully soon another dog she’s hinted about rescuing, got down and dirty with piggies Wilma and Pebbles in their backyard in New Hope, Pa., where she was filming “Spoiled Rotten Pets” for Nat Geo Wild. On the show, Stern even checks out the size of the pigs’ poop to report back to hubby Howard.
