NINH THUAN (vVNS)— A bus accident left 14 people injured after the brakes failed and it plunged into a deep ravine in the central province of Ninh Thuan yesterday morning.
The victims, five of whom were in a serious condition, were sent to Ninh Son District’s General Hospital for treatment.
District police said that the accident occurred while the bus was travelling from the Central Highland province of Lam Dong to Ninh Thuan, when the bus plunged into a 15m ravine.
Authorities have paid VND5 million (US$240) to the five seriously-injured victims and VND500,000 ($23) to the rest.-VNS
