Many international film-makers said that Vietnamese cinema should expand its cooperation to co-produce and publish with international cinema organizations.
The suggestion was made during a seminar on Vietnam cinema in the renovation period, held in Hanoi on November 26th under the framework of the second Hanoi international film festival 2012. It drew the participation of film-makers from Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and France.
The event aimed to review the development and specific characteristics in Vietnamese film from 1986 to now, and consult development experiments from cinema in the region.
Over the past years, Vietnam cinema has developed. Together with the development of state studios, private studios also introduce different films in cinemas during festivals and Tet holidays./.

An ongoing workshop in Hanoi is offering a chance for engineers, experts and enterprises from Vietnam and Japan to share experience in underground structures, transportation and geotechnics. Chief Judge of the Vietnam Supreme People’s Court Truong Hoa Binh and his RoK counterpart, Lee Yong-hoon, reached a consensus on the issue during the former’s recent visit to the RoK. Both chief judges realised that various legal matters are arising from the growing number of marriages between Vietnamese and RoK citizens and the rapid development of bilateral economic and trade relations. An exhibition on paintings and statues by Hungarian artists are taking place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 3-7, as part of activities to mark the 60 th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Hungary. The event was jointly held by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, the HCM City Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association and the Hungarian Embassy in Vietnam. The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held the Vietnam-Estonia Business Forum in Hanoi on Nov. 7 on the occasion of Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip's current visit to Vietnam. Vietnam and Singapore have agreed to expand their scope of economic cooperation in a number of areas including finance, information-communications and trade in goods. The agreement was reached by the Singaporean Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang and Vietnam 's Minister of Planning and Investment Bui Quang Vinh, at the 8th Vietnamese-Singaporean Ministerial Meeting on Economic Connectivity which took place in Singapore on April 4.
