Party General Secretary Nguyen PhuTrong made the affirmation while receiving a delegation from the Officeof the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee led byits head, Bounpon Buttanavong, in Hanoi on September 5.
The Vietnamese Party chief applauded the Lao delegation’s visit,saying that it will help tighten and further strengthen the Vietnam-Laosspecial solidarity.
He expressed his belief thatwith their great achievements and valuable experience from the 25-yearrenewal and five years of implementing the Resolution of the 8 th LPRPCongress, the Lao Party, State and people will successfully implementthe Resolution of the 9 th Congress and the 7 th five-yearsocio-economic development plan, building Laos into a peaceful,independent, democratic, united and prosperous socialist-orientedcountry.
General Secretary Trong said he was pleasedwith the practical and effective developments of the special solidaritybetween Vietnam and Laos as well as the effective cooperationbetween the Offices of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and LPRPCentral Committees.
He expressed hope that in thefuture, the two agencies will regularly exchange experience, speed upthe effective implementation of high-level agreements between the twoParties and closely coordinate in realising a cooperative agreementbetween the two offices in the 2011-2015 period.
Forhis part, Bounpon Buttanavong, who was also Secretary of the LPRPCentral Committee, congratulated the Vietnamese people on their greatrenewal achievements, expressing his belief that under the leadership ofthe CPV, the Vietnamese people will successfully implement theResolution of the 11 th Party Congress and continue to comprehensivelystep up the renewal process to turn Vietnam into an industrialised andstrong country with wealthy people, and a democratic, equitable andcivilised society by 2020.
He thanked the Vietnamese Party, State and people for their past great and valuable support and assistance to Laos .
He affirmed that the Lao Party, State and people will try their best,together with Vietnam , to maintain and promote the specialsolidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations for theinterests of the two countries’ people as well as for peace, stability,cooperation and development in the region and the world at large.
Earlier, the Lao officials held talks with a delegation from the CPVCentral Committee Office led by its head, Tran Quoc Vuong. The two sidesdiscussed specific measures to boost their future cooperation andsigned a cooperative plan for the 2011-2015 period./.
