Crackdown on smugglers creates border control turmoil A crackdown on smugglers has created turmoil at Vietnam-China border crossings, notably at Mong Cai Border Gate in Quang Ninh Province, which is being flooded with people going back and forth between the two countries as gangs probe for weak spots in border control. Officials said Mong Cai Border Gate processed 10,000 people on December 6. Korea supports E-learning for National Economic and Technical College

(CPV) - The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and Samsung Electronics on November 12 handed over the project of improvement of capacity and education environment to the National Economic and Technical College (NETC) in Hanoi - a Public Private Partnership of KOICA. Accordingly, some of USD145,000 spent for the construction of a KOICA-Samsung E-learning center with installed hardware and software from July to November 2014. The project is a cooperation result proposed and coordinated by volunteer Been Jae Man rendering service at NETC. Teachers and students from NETC now have chance to improve their professional skills. Besides, this College, located in Hanoi's suburb Gia Lam district, has also developed an E-learning project and submitted to its managing agency, Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) for the approval. (VOV) - President Truong Tan Sang has met with his Philippine counterpart Benigno Aquino III, attended a roundtable talk with US businesses and visited the Vietnam Embassy in Beijing. Meeting with President Benigno Aquino III on the fringes of the 22nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting on November 9, President Sang noted with satisfaction the fine development of the friendship and all-around cooperation between the two nations. VN, Russia Expect to Conclude FTA Talks Early Next Year

Vietnam and Russia have agreed to strive for the conclusion of the free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations between Vietnam and the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan by early next year.
