DA NANG (VNS) — The central city and Clipper Ventures, the UK-based operator of the Clipper Race, yesterday officially signed a sponsorship agreement for the Da Nang-Viet Nam team. The yacht team will be competing in the Clipper 2015-16 Round the World Yacht Race, which is the longest ocean race in the world, spanning a distance of more than 40,000 nautical miles. As scheduled, Da Nang is the only official Southeast Asian host port for the famous worldwide yacht race. "Da Nang is the first Vietnamese city to join the race. The communal house lies at the foot of the Ngu Hanh Son Mountains (Marble Mountains), 15km from the city centre. Ho Tan Tuan, Director of the city's Heritage Management Centre, said on May 31 that the team unearthed the axes on May 27 while digging a second pit in the garden. Vietnam Helicopter Corporation said the tour will be offered to all tourists starting April 24. The company launched its first maiden flights Tuesday, carrying its guests including Da Nang leaders for a sightseeing tour. Spokesperson Pham Ngoc Diep told VnExpress news website that a trip of between 15 and 25 minutes will cost between VND2.5-3.5 million (US$125-$175) per passenger.
