Posco Vietnam and Keangnam Vina were delighted to receive tax breaks from the Ministry of Finance, while Doosan Vietnam was not so lucky. The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has agreed not to apply administrative sanctions on Posco Vietnam's failure to declare handling costs at customs. According to the MoF Circular 40 dated May 21, 2008, companies must pay additional tax for not declaring handling charges at port. Vietnam exports locally-made boilers to India

Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam has shipped 2,000 tonnes of made-in-Vietnam boiler equipment to be used on the 800 MW super-critical coal-fired Kudgi Power Plant in Southwest India. This marked the second shipment of the 77 million USD contract signed last year to produce high-end boilers for the thermal power plant.
