​As planned, Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam (Doosan Vina) in collaboration with Chung Ang University Hospital is holding their annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) medical service from 11 to 15 January, 2016 in Quang Ngai province. ​Accordingly, about 2,500 residents in districts of Binh Son and Minh Long will receive medical checks and treatments for free. Such of the common diseases the elderly often have as rheumatoid arthritis, high blood pressure, anemia, sciatica, aches and bronchitis will be examined and treated. And the children will receive treatment for malnutrition and dental problems. Besides, Doosan Vina is going to offer the EO Gas sterilization equipment and rehabilitation equipment to Quang Ngai provincial general hospital. A source from Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam in Dung Quat Economic Zone said on October 26th that it has appointed Jung Yeon In to the CEO and General Director position. ​ The newly appointed CEO & General Director of Doosan Vina joined Doosan in 1987 after graduating from Pusan University in South Korean with a degree in Machine Design. He is a lifelong Doosan employee that has progressed through the company for the past 28 years. He spent the first 18 years at Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction in Korea, steadily moving up within the corporation. In 2005 he was asked to move to Doosan Infracore also in Korea, where he was appointed Director of the Procurement and Manufacturing Divisions. Power Company Limited (AES Mong Duong) on October 26 announced the successful completion of Mong Duong II BOT Coal-fired power project (Mong Duong II). This is the largest private sector power project in Vietnam and the country's first new private sector power plant to be commissioned in the last ten years. Mong Duong II entirely entered commercial operations in May 2015, six months ahead of schedule. Speaking at the ceremony, David Stone, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of AES Mong Duong said the completion of Mong Duong II has been a significant milestone for both Vietnam and AES. Free surgeries for children with disabilities in Quang Ngai

​Dung Quat-based Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam (Doosan Vina) in collaboration with Chung Ang University Hospital scheduled to provide free surgeries to two children with cleft lips and malformation living in the districts of Ba To and Binh Son, Quang Ngai province. ​The beneficiaries will be sent to Chung Ang University Hospital in South Korea from 25 October to 07 November, 2015 for their surgeries. All cost for the surgeries is funded by Dosan Vina. This program is based on cooperation agreement signed by Doosan Vina, Chung Ang University Hospital and Quang Ngai province in 2009. ​A source from Doosan Vina said that Ryu Hang Ha, CEO and General Director of Doosan Vina and a Senior Vice President at Doosan Heavy Industries Korea announced his retirement effective with the completion of legalities related to the position. His successor is to be announced in the near future. In addition to his roles with Doosan Ryu also stands as a Chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (Korcham). ​Ryu began his career with Doosan in 1981 and has steadily advanced and been given greater responsibility with each promotion. He first came to Vietnam in 2002 as the General Director of Hanvico in Hai Phong, Doosan's first company in Vietnam, which is now Doosan Vina Hai Phong. Doosan Vina sends core power plant component to US

Quang Ngai, September 9 (VNA) – Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam (Doosan Vina) shipped a Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), one of the core components of a combined thermal power plant weighing 2,100 tonnes, to the United States on September 9, said Deputy General Director Kim Yong Soo. The 300-megawatt HRSG was provided to the Salem Harbour Combined-Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant in Massachusetts to increase the plant’s power capacity by up to 30 percent. The HRSG is designated to generate power from high-temperature exhaust gas streams from the plant’s gas turbine. It is considered an eco-friendly system that helps reduce harmful gas emissions. Doosan Vina inked a contract to provide two HRSGs for the Salem Harbour Power Plant in December 2013 with the last shipment to be sent at the end of this September. Doosan Vina held its 5th Annual One Mind Festival

On April 11th, 2015, Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam, Dung Quit Economic Zone, Binh Thuan Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai, Vietnam held the Fifth Annual One Mind Festival with a participation of 2,500 employees. ​ 300 VIP's representing government agencies, organizations as well as customers, partners and family members of employees also took part into the event. ​January 13th 2015, Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam, Dung Quat Economic Zone, Binh Thuan Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai, Vietnam: Doosan Heavy Industries Viet Nam has shipped the first ever "Made in Vietnam" Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) Desalination system for the Escondida (Chile) Water Supply project. Based in Quang Ngai, Doosan Vina made this 1,705 ton shipment on January 9th to the Escondida Copper Mine, the world's largest, which is located in the Atacama Desert of northern Chile. When completed and operational, the SWRO desalination system will supply 220 million liters of water per day, which is equivalent to the water needs of more than a half a million people. The second shipment to Chile is planned for January 18, and the final components of the SWRO system will be exported between February 15th and April 30th in four other shipments. Doosan Vina exports first shipment in 2015

The Water Doosan Vina Factory, a subsidiary of the RoK–invested Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam Co., Ltd, has exported five units of a seawater desalination evaporator to Chile as its first shipment of 2015. The remaining units of the device will be shipped from now until end of April 2015. When assembled and put into operation, the evaporator can produce 220 million liters of purified water a day for 550,000 people working at Escondida copper mine, which is located in the northern Atacama Desert of Chile, the world’s largest copper mine. Production capacity reached 106% and the company exceeded the revenue plan by 14%. Doosan Vina's products were shipped to nine countries around the world including Chile, Germany, Thailand, Turkey, Libya, Malaysia, Algeria, India, Saudi Arabia. In Vietnam, Doosan Vina provided tons of Key Mechanical Products (KMP) to Vietnamese infrastructure projects like the Mong Duong II power plant, the Port of Da Nang and several others.
