The Hanoitimes - The National Assembly (NA) on May 30 passed a resolution on amendments to the law and ordinance building programme for the legislature's 13th tenure and the law and ordinance building programme for 2015. The debate will be broadcast live on national television and radio channels. Accordingly, by the end of the 8th session, the NA will focus on building important laws, especially those relating to organizational structure to meet the requirements of social management as declared in the revised Constitution which was approved last year. Vietnam, Laos discuss raising deputies’ capacity

A delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA)'s Committee for Deputy Affairs is visiting Laos from August 4-8 to discuss measures to raise deputies' capacity. HA NOI (VNS)— Lawmakers yesterday agreed to improve the handling of citizen's complaints and criticisms to protect people's legal rights and in the interests of the State. The National Assembly Standing Committee has decided at its meeting to amend the resolution related to the treatment, supervision and follow-up of citizens' complaints. The resolution would affect all levels of administration, from the National Assembly to its offshoot bodies, Standing Committee, deputies and delegations. Most deputies agreed that the resolution should regulate responsibilities in detail, including the supervision of follow-ups related to complaints and criticisms. Nhan Dan Online - On the morning of June 11, the National Assembly (NA) adopted a resolution on the results of the first vote of confidence on 47 officials holding positions elected or ratified by the legislature. Previously, Head of the NA Voting Committee Do Van Chien announced the outcomes of the first vote of confidence. The votes specify three degrees of confidence - high, medium and low. Accordingly, no senior leaders had over 50% of low-confidence vote. Results of the votes of confidence for 47 officials holding positions elected or approved by the legislature were announced this morning at the National Assembly meeting. The confidence votes, with three degrees: high confidence, confidence and low confidence, were carried out yesterday afternoon. Among the positions subject to the vote were President, Vice President, NA Chairman, NA Vice chairpersons and other high ranks. National Assembly Deputy Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan gained the most high confidence votes with 372 ballots. Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam Nguyen Van Binh had the highest number of low confidence votes with 209 ballots.
