Energy labeling for energy saving products


(VEN) - As energy prices are greatly fluctuate and consumer demand for energy efficiency products increases, energy labeling is considered as passport to lead the way for energy saving products to domestic consumers. Electric fan is one of home appliances tagged with energy efficiency label Walking around several markets in Hanoi, we can see the increasing consumer trend of choosing to buy power saving appliances. However, apart from the ads and producer notes written on leaflets, consumers have no idea of how a power saving product looks like. In this case, the energy label is a sign to help consumers identify energy efficiency and high performance products. In addition, the label can become a technical barrier to separate high from low energy efficiency appliances, while urging manufacturers to market more high energy efficiency products. Ariston boils up new water heater factory


Ariston Thermo Group last week kicked-off construction of what will become Asia's second largest water heater factory. “Beautiful Life” Program Launched

A report by HCMC-based hotel and resort property firm Alternaty Co., Ltd. showed that two luxury hotels, The Reverie and Le Meridien, will be inaugurated in the center of the city this year, supplying an extra 636 guest rooms for the market. One year later, at least two more luxury hotels would start operations when the Viettel property with 424 rooms on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street is completed and managed by an international company. Swiss brand says Hoang Sa, Truong Sa ‘belong to Vietnam’ on watches


Swiss brand Candino has debuted its special watches whose clock faces include a message, as suggested by its Vietnamese partner, saying Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos "belong to Vietnam." A ceremony was held at Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday to introduce the watches. Candino has finished making 1,888 such watches that are simply but tastefully designed and boast the red Vietnamese flag right in the 12 o’clock position, which is indicative of the Southeast Asian country’s solemnity and eternity.
