Nhan Dan Online – The annual ‘Xuan Que Huong’ (Homeland Spring) art programme will be held at the Thang Long Royal Citadel on January 23 to greet Overseas Vietnamese (OV) returning home for the Lunar New Year festival.
The event will feature well-known Vietnamese singers and artists whose performances are expected to fill audiences with warmth and excitement to greet the spring and the country’s development.
According to the event’s organiser, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs (SCOVA) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, OV who are living and working abroad can contact the nearest Vietnamese representative offices to register for the event. Those who are in Vietnam can bring their passports or personal papers to the SCOVA office at 356 Pho Hue street, Hai Ba Trung district in Hanoi for registration and to receive invitation letters to the event.
The ‘Xuan Que Huong’ programme is held annually for OV around the world to receive greetings from the Party and State and to share their joy with compatriots on the traditional Lunar New Year festival. It is also designed to preserve national tradition and cultural identity and to consolidate the great national unity bloc.
