Nhan Dan Online – The Party Central Committee (PCC) Commission for Mass Mobilisation should foster the dissemination of Party guidelines and policies and State laws to the public and promote the great national unity bloc.
Politburo member and standing member of the PCC Secretariat Le Hong Anh made the request at a nationwide online conference held this morning to review the commission’s operation in 2013 and map out orientations for the 2014.

He urged the commission to increase its leadership and instruction on the local level to grasp pressing issues – such as crime and other social ills, corruption and wastefulness – and work with relevant Party and State agencies to design solutions to these problems.
He also advised it to co-ordinate actively with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and other political and social organisations in calling on people to participate in and accomplish their localities’ tasks for economic development.
Speaking at the event, PCC member and head of the commission Ha Thi Khiet said that over the past year, the commission has made positive contributions to reaching consensus among people from all walks of life on successfully realising national socio-economic development tasks, as well as on maintaining the security and defence of the country as a whole and of individual localities.
The commission’s operations have focused on ensuring social welfare, reducing poverty, improving residents’ mental and spiritual lives, promoting their rights of mastery, and addressing their concerns in a timely manner.
The conference identified the commission’s tasks for 2014, including bringing PCC resolutions to life, consolidating the close relations between the Party and the people, and building a transparent and strong political system.
