PPC Chairman, Mr. Pham Dinh Cu has just chaired the provincial periodical conference in December 2013 to announce the social-economic situations, security-national defense situations in December 2013, the task programs for the first quarter of 2014; draft action programs of the PPC on implementing the Resolution of the Government on some crucial solutions on implementing the plan for social-economic development and estimated state budget in the year 2014.
According to the PPC, so far the winter-spring crop of 2013-2014 in the province has got around 9,300 ha of the entire 25,500ha sowed (the schedule for sowing is concentrated from December 20th, 2013 to January 10th, 2014). As for the cassava plants, 11,500ha of the entire area of 22,267ha has been harvested, the average productivity is 18 tons/ha; the sugar cane plants have been harvested 800ha of the total area of 24,703ha, the average productivity of 58 tons/ha. In the year 2013, the productivity of exploiting seafood reached 49,550 tons (a reduction of 2.4% against the same period last year), among which oceanic tuna reached 4,529 tons (a reduction of 25.8% against the same period last year). The value of agricultural production exceeded 12,584 billion dongs (equivalent to 96.7% of the plan), an increase of 9.1% against the same period last year. The consuming price index in December increased 0.22% compared with the previous year. The PPC has advanced 20 billion dongs from the state budget to Sai Gon-Phu Yen trade and service company Ltd. to store necessities to serve Tet 2014. The total state budget collection in the entire province to December 31st, 2013 has been 1,926.7 billion dongs, equivalent to 104.15% against the estimated figure assigned by the province and reached 137.43% of the estimated figure assigned by the Central government.
Addressing at the conference, comrade Pham Dinh Cu directed: the functional authorities and localities have to timely support the amount of rice allocated by the Central Government to the households suffering from damage caused by storms and floods and the households lacking food during Tet 2014. The Chairman also ordered caring for the policy objects and those sacrificing to the Revolution to have a sufficient food supply for Tet. The department of industry and trade directs the related units to ensure bringing commodities to the rural areas to serve the residents here at reasonable prices, simultaneously ensuring the food hygiene. The localities need to pay attention to organizing healthy and safe entertainment venues to meet the inhabitants’ demand. In January, the departments, sectors and localities need to concentrate on administrative reforms, consolidating staff, cadres and civil servants; well preparing the task of assigning soldiers. As for the issue of traffic safety during Tet occasion, the province has issued acts to direct the departments, sectors and localities to strictly implement.
