AmCham finances five community development projects

Total financial support of over VND461 million was granted to Thien Chi Center for

Community Support and Development in the central province of Binh Thuan to provide alum water processing systems and health training in Duc Linh District, the Former Youth Red Cross Club to improve health and living conditions of the elderly and children in four communes of Ben Tre Province and the HCMC Child Welfare Foundation to increase the abilities of children of OVC and HIV/AIDS groups in Tan Thuan Tay Ward, Tan Kieng Ward, District 7.

The other two recipients were the People’s Committee of Duc Binh Commune in Binh Thuan Province who will build 15 latrines for ethnic households as well as raising awareness about hygiene and the Future Center for Health Education and Community Development in HCMC to increase health and living conditions for elderly people from 60 to 80 years old who live alone.

This is the tenth year that AmCham Vietnam has organized the ACDF program with 59 projects in eight cities and provinces totaling over VND4.9 billion (or more than US$243,200) of grants.
