15-year Celebration for the first issue of Economic & Urban Newspaper

The Hanoitimes – On the morning of January 1, 2014, at Hanoi Opera House, staff, reporters, employees of Economic & Urban Newspaper solemnly celebrated the 15th anniversary of the first issue (1/1/1999-1/1/2014 ) and received the Third Class Labor Medal awarded by the President.


The celebration was attended by Deputy Chief of Propaganda voluntary Century; Vice President Central Theoretical Council Phung Huu Phu, Permanent Vice Chairman of Vietnam Association of Journalists Ha Minghui; Journalism Department Hoang Huu Luong.

There are also Hanoi Party Committee Deputy Secretary – City Chairman Nguyen The Thao, Deputy Party Secretary – Chairman of the People’s Council Ngo Thi Doan Thanh, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc , Head of Propaganda Ho Quang Loi and representatives from city departments.

To attend and celebrate with team officials, reporters, employees of Economic & Urban Newspaper, there are also leaders representing the central press agencies and Hanoi; the delegates from provinces in the country, representatives from departments, the leaders, journalists elderly generations of Economic & Urban Newspaper with many partners and collaborators.

Opening the Celebration, Mr. Ta Viet Anh, The Editor of Economic & Urban Newspaper mades speech on construction and development of Economic & Urban Newspaper in the past 15 years, especially the collective achievements of officials, journalists, staff of Economic & Urban Newspaper.

After Mr. Ta Viet Anh’s speech, Mr. Cong Nghia Hoan – Former Editor of Urban Economics has greetings, shared with staff, reporters, editors of Economic & Urban Newspaper. He stressed: “15 years – a time not too long but not short initially asserted intellectual collective effort of leaders, officials, journalists and employees of Economic & Urban Newspaper. They hard work, often draw experience for improving the quality of both content and form to get mature as the today’s newspaper.
