A statue featuring Uncle Ho and a border soldier was inaugurated in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on October 7 to mark the 50th provincial Traditional Day of Border Guards (Oct. 8, 1963 – Oct. 8, 2013).
The inauguration was held by the Central Highlands Kon Tum provincial Border Soldier High Command.
The nearly-two-tonne stone statute is 1.9 meters in height and 1.4 meters in width.
The work depicts Uncle Ho talking with a border soldier, expressing the deep sentiment between President Ho Chi Minh and border soldiers in the province and nationwide. It also shows deep gratitude and respect for the great contribution made by President Ho Chi Minh./.comments powered by Disqus
