PANO – More than 300 historical documents and maps confirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelagos have gone on display at the Con Dao Museum in Ba Ria- Vung Tau province on September 9th.
The exhibits include valuable maps, provided by domestic and international researchers and scientists, and a number of important documents kept by families over generations.
Besides, the four-month exhibition also showcases a series of photos depicting scenery and the daily life of people on the two islands, as well as historical evidence of political prisoners in Con Dao Prison in the past.
The exhibition, jointly organized by Con Dao and Khanh Hoa museums, and National Archives Centre 2, is the first event at the Con Dao Museum, which was inaugurated on September 6th.
