(VOV) – A Vietnam-China Friendship Association (VCFA) delegation led by its President Nguyen Xuan Thang has paid a week-long visit to China at the invitation of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Speaking at a reception for the Vietnamese delegation, CPPCC Vice Chairman Su Rong commended the VCFA’s recent contributions to fostering friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples.

He voiced hope the association will continue its valuable work on promoting Vietnam-China strategic trust and practical cooperation.
Thang assured his host that the VCFA will further coordination with Chinese partners on people-to-people diplomacy in a variety of forms, including journalist visit exchanges and international forum cooperation, in the interest of the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership.
The delegation also participated in earlier talks with the CPPCC and the China-Vietnam Friendship Association, agreeing on plans for future activities aimed at expanding the opportunities for their respective peoples to meet and work with each other.
The delegation reserved time for meeting Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) representatives and touring Harbin University, where many Vietnamese students studied during the 1950s and 60s.
