Sen. Lt. Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich works with two units

PANO – Director of the General Department of Politics Senior Lieutenant General Ngo Xuan Lich paid working visits to the Border Guard and Military Commands of Lang Son province on August 22nd.

The general was briefed on the two units’ achievements and their key contents in carrying out their missions over the past time and till the end of 2013. Accordingly, the two units have focused on improving training quality and combat readiness, and actively assisted local people in hunger elimination and poverty reduction, as well as efficiently implemented Party and political tasks in line with reality of each locality and each unit.


General Lich asked the units’ commanders to be active in their staff work and direction of local military and defence mission. Besides, the units should boost their cooperation with local and international forces to build a border line of peace, stability, friendship and cooperation for development. Furthermore, they should also pay much attention to building defence areas and strong armed forces.

In terms of party building work, the general asked the units’ leaders to frequently improve their leadership ability and combat strength of party committees and organizations, build strong and healthy party committees, beef up education to raise awareness, and build political stance among troops and the public for any assigned tasks. The units should improve troops’ spiritual and material lives, and actively and efficiently join hands in building new rural areas.

The Director of the General Department of Politics also took note of the units’ proposals to improve the quality of military-defence task implementation and build strong forces in the time to come.
