Phu Yen Department of Education and Training has recently held a ceremony to commend and reward students with outstanding achievements in the 2012-2013 school year.
In 2012-2013 school year, 310 students with excellent achievements are commended and rewarded.132 students won prizes in national and regional level contests, 22 students achieved at least 27 out of 30 points in college entrance examinations of 2013; 6 valedictorians in colleges and universities entrance exams in 2013, 150 students achieved the first prizes in the provincial-level contests, poor-disabled students with good learning results, poor-good learning minority students, all-sided good students in the units and students with lofty and beautiful acts. This time, in addition to the educational sector’s rewarding fund, Phu Yen Department of Education and Training also mobilized more than 120 million dongs from contribution of units and individuals in the province to award good-learning students.
Addressing at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of PPC, Mr. Tran Quang Nhat commended the academic achievement of good-learning students; praised the quiet dedication of teachers in the “people-growing” career and organizations and individuals inside and outside the province for having taken care, supported for the province’s education development. Vice Chairman of PPC required the Department of Education and Training to constantly develop internal resources, overcome difficulties, innovate and improve teaching and learning qualities, each teacher exerts all strength to become a moral self-study and creative example; each student must develop the self-learning spirit, nurturing dreams and aspirations to achieve the best results in learning.
At the commending ceremony, Prof. Ngo Bao Chau expressed his delight for the achievements of Phu Yen students, simultaneously hoping teachers and students to continue the studious traditions and efforts in learning and creativity, contributing many achievements, to make the glorious history for the more-than-400 year-old Phu land.
