(VEN) – “Despite fragile economic conditions persisting in some parts of the world, notably Europe, BAT has delivered another good set of results.
The business is performing well and we are confident of another year of good earnings growth”, Richard Burrows, BAT Chairman, commenting on the half – yearly report to 30 June 2013.
Adjusted Group profit from operations increased by 4% and by 6% at constant rates of exchange. The reported profit from operation was 3% higher at £2,807 million.
Collectively, four Global Drive Brands achieved good volume growth of 2.3%. Other International Brands grew by 1.9% and combined with Global Drive Brands, now make up nearly 60% of total cigarette volume.
In the Vietnam market, sales and market share of each product increases evenly. Besides, BAT also actively contribute and participate in activities such as community building benefits of gratitude, building people’s livelihood, reforestation, Tet gifts to the poor …
