The Vietnamese and Lao National Assembly (NA) Offices will build a plan to jointly improve their capacity to research and handle information, as well as build an office network and data storage system.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between visiting Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese NA Office Nguyen Si Dung and his Lao counterpart Saysomphon Phomvihan in Vientiane on July 15.
At the meeting, Dung spoke about the Vietnamese legislative body’s recent situation and the outcomes of his talks with the Lao NA Office on information technology (IT) and library cooperation.
He expressed his honour to help the Lao side raise information quality, especially during NA sessions, and hoped their cooperation will continue to be favoured.
Saysomphon Phomvihan spoke highly of the two sides’ effective cooperation over the past time and thanked the Vietnamese office for its help in IT.
He said he hopes that the two offices will further their cooperation in various fields, contributing to fostering the Vietnam-Laos special friendship and solidarity and comprehensive cooperation.
