(VOV) -Fifteen pupils from the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted attending the 2013 Bulgaria International Mathematics Competition (BIMC) have won three gold medals to came second in the event for 5th-7th grades.
The gold medalists were Pham Nam Khanh, Phan Minh Duc and Le Quang Minh.
Ho Minh Loc and Nguyen Nam Viet bagged two silvers, Mai Thien An and Pham Kim Anh pocketed two bronzes and Le Tran Hoanh received a consolation prize.
Meanwhile, in the event for the 8th-10th grades, Nguyen Dinh Bach, Pham Quang Nam and Le Hong Hanh were placed third and consolation prizes went to Dinh Phuc Hung, Pham Ha My and Pham Minh Duc.
At a recent reception for pupils, Vietnamese Ambassador to Bulgaria, Le Duc Luu praised them for their good performance and presented them with his own gifts.
The 2013 BIMC, held in Burgas from June 30-July 5, attracted 1,080 pupils from 31 countries around the globe.
The next event will be held in the Republic of Korea (RoK) in 2014.
