Deputy Minister of Transport, Mr. Truong Tan Vien has had a working session with leaders of Phu Yen PPC on the site clearance of Ca Pass tunnel project.
The Ca Pass tunnel project passes through Hoa Xuan Nam commune, Dong Hoa district. The total recovering area of the project is approximately 423ha including: land areas to build resettlement zone for the project, the construction of service roads and major roads for a total compensation of 337 households. As informed by Dong Hoa District People’s Committee, to date, investors have not completed the resettlement area, so the cleared households couldn’t dismantle, relocate houses and structures to hand over sites; investors haven’t built Ben Song canals according to technical for the residents to get water in time for the summer-autumn crop production. Following the direction of the PPC, on July 18th, investors handed over 3 resettlement zones with 72 plots in order for the locality to organize drawing and displacing residents in July.
Concluding the session, Deputy Minister Truong Tan Vien required localities and investors to coordinate more closely to accelerate the progress, especially the clearance stages. Localities get priority for site clearance of service roads in North (Hoa Xuan Nam Commune, Dong Hoa), to hand over to investors by the end of July, focusing on site clearance of service roads in North of Co Ma tunnel so as to timely commence the construction of Ca Pass tunnel in the 1st quarter of 2014 …
