Mongolia always wants to build a mutually-benefiting cooperation with Vietnam which is one of its key partners in Southeast Asia, according to the country’s Ambassador to Vietnam Dorj Enkhbat.
At a ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 11 to mark the 92nd anniversary of Mongolia’s National Day (July 11), the ambassador stressed that the two nations have always supported each other in all fields since they established diplomatic ties in 1954.
He expressed his belief that the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries will be strengthened in the future.
Addressing the event, Truong Van Da, Chairman of the Vietnam-Mongolia Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City affirmed that Mongolia is a traditional friend of Vietnamese people.
He said there are many opportunities for boosting economic cooperation, noting that Mongolia has great demands for Vietnam’s farm produce, aquatic products and consumer goods, while Mongolia’s key commodities such as lamb meat, leather and wool carpets can sell well in Vietnam.
Many Mongolian delegations have also come to Ho Chi Minh City to explore cooperation possibilities in the fields of tourism, education, trade and electricity, which are good signs for the bilateral relationship, Da said.
