(VOV) – A group of Vietnamese seaplane pilots have completed their first training course in Canada.
Addressing a graduation ceremony in Sidney, British Columbia, on July 10, representatives of the two countries highlighted mutual cooperation in the field which they said testifies to the fine development of multifaceted relations between Vietnam and Canada.
They all expressed belief that friendship and cooperation between the two countries, as well as between Vietnam and Canada’s western localities will develop further in the future.
The training is part of a cooperation programme between Vietnam’s naval forces and Canadian partners, Viking Air and Sky Pacific.
Vietnam purchased six seaplanes from Viking Air and sent pilots and technicians to Canada to learn how to fly and maintain these aircraft.
