Revolutionary press day observed

PANO – Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Popularisation and Education on June 21st visited the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN) on the 88th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press.

Mr. Huynh highly appreciated PAN’s achievements over the past time and laid stress on PAN’s role as the vanguard force in the fight against hostile forces’ plots, distortions, arguments and the “peaceful evolution”.

He also asked PAN to continuously improve its products’ quality to have more attractive and precise articles, contributing to national construction and protection, as well as the industrialization and modernization process.

PAN’s Editor-in-Chief Major General Le Phuc Nguyen promised to carry out more creative methods to fulfil its assigned tasks and at the same time actively contribute to the further development of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press.

Earlier, on June 20th, Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics congratulated PAN on the Day of Vietnam Revolutionary Press, praised its achievements over the past time and confirmed that PAN was among the leading national political newspapers and a reliable newspaper of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Defence Ministry, officers, troops and people.

The General asked PAN to improve its staff’s professionalism and promote its popularization on national protection and construction mission, building a revolutionary, regular, elite and modern army, and “Study and Follow President Ho Chi Minh’s Moral Examples”. Notably, PAN should be leading in the ideological and cultural front, to defeat the hostile forces’ plots and “peaceful evolution” strategy.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung also sent PAN a flower bouquet and leaders from central and military organs and units visited PAN on the 88th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
