(VOVworld) – Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong on Friday met with voters in Ba Dinh district to brief them on the outcomes of the just concluded session of the National Assembly. He said the vote of confidence at the session reflected the reality of the country’s socio-economic development, security, defense, external relations and judicial operations. He said: “The vote of confidence is to evaluate the officials’ performance. Not only the National Assembly but also party agencies should conduct votes of confidence. If any official fail the vote of confidence for 2 years, a no-confidence vote will take place.
Party leader Trong also agreed with the voters’ opinions on continuing party building work. He also discussed with them the organization of People’s Councils at district and ward levels and the revising of the constitution.
The same day, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met with voters in Thach Ha commune in Ha Tinh province. He asked local authorities to help improve local agricultural production and boost the movement of building sustainable rural areas. He also hailed their opinions and suggestions to the draft revision to the 1992 constitution and the revised land law.
