The results of the first-ever vote of confidence was released at the plenary sitting of the legislature’s fifth session in Hanoi on June 11, presided over by NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.
It was publicised by Do Van Chien, head of the board inspecting a report on the results of the confidence vote cast on positions elected or approved by the NA.
Member of the NA Standing Committee and head of the Secretary delegation Nguyen Hanh Phuc read the draft Resolution verifying the results.
Later, the lawmakers debated and adopted a Resolution on validating the results of the confidence vote on the above-mentioned positions.
During a debate on the Law on Reception for Citizens chaired by NA Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu, 10 deputies from 10 cities and provinces made speeches on the rights and duties of citizens and the heads of agencies and offices who receive citizens, and the responsibilities of organisations and agencies’ leaders.
In the afternoon session presided over by NA Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son, NA Office Chairman Nguyen Hanh Phuc delivered a report on the schedule of the NA’s supervision agenda next year.
Later, they heard a report on the latest situation in the East Sea .
At the morning plenary sitting on June 12, legislators are due to pass the Law on Anti-Terrorism, discuss the draft Law on amendments and supplements to some articles of the Law on Fire Prevention and Control, the negotiations for the signing of a Government-level agreement on free immigration and unlicensed marriages along the Vietnam-Laos border.
In the afternoon, they will hear the results of the settlement of voters’ recommendations sent to the NA’s fourth session, and a report on implementing the NA’s Resolution on question and answer sessions.
