The concert, introduced by the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam and Consulate-General of Japan in HCM City, is part of activities celebrating the 40th anniversary of ASEAN – Japan Friendship and Cooperation and the Japan – Vietnam Friendship Year 2013.

It is a much-anticipated event for all music lovers in Vietnam.

“Unit Asia” was formed in October 2008 with an aim to create a new type of jazz music. It has performed in various countries in the world. Their first tour in Vietnam in February 2012, also joined by well-known singer Tung Duong, received enthusiastic applause.

The music style of “Unit Asia” is based around jazz, but they have managed to incorporate diverse musical elements such as rock, pops, blues and so forth into their music, enabling them to create their own original sound exceeding the framework of nation, culture and musical genre.

The emotional and strong voice of Tung Duong, Singer of the Year 2011 and Dedication Award for Song of the Year 2012 (“Chiec Khan Pieu”), will skilfully interplay with sounds of “Unit Asia” and will enrich its musical diversity as a whole.

Both concerts are free admission. Free advanced tickets will be delivered at the Japan Foundation at 27 Quang Trung Street, Hanoi.
