Hai Duong Province’s Youth Union in collaboration with Regiment 2, Division 395 (Military Zone 3) is to carry out the scheme “Army semester” in Summer 2013.
The program is taking place in 7 days (from 23 to 29 June) in Regiment 2, Ben Tam ward (Chi Linh provincial town).
Trainees participating in the program will learn about Vietnam People’s Army’s traditions, attend new soldier training course, visit and offer incense at Chu Van An Teacher Temple, join in military training, group activities, collective games, song and dance performances, sports, radio program “Diary in the army”, learn popular international dance, practice life skills, teamwork skills, operate and visit, offer gifts to policy objects, take part in volunteer activities such as environmental sanitation, exchanges with local teenagers.
The participants in the program are students, pupils from 14-19 years of age, in good health.
This is the 4th year that the program has been developed to help young people become familiar and knowledgeable about the learning and training environment in the army, raise the political skill and spirit, lifestyle morals and sense of abiding by laws, at the same time, equipped with life skills, adaptability, dynamic, confident, strong, disciplined, create healthy playing field, train personality, skill and spirit for teenagers.
The Organizing Board expects to attract 65 young participants in this semester.
Nearly 60 youths have registered. Tuition is nearly VND2 million/ person.
