Chief of the General Department of Politics under the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), Sen. Lieut. Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich paid a visit to Luang Prabang’s Military Headquarters on June 25.
It is part of his working visit to Laos from June 24-27.

Sen. Lieut. Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich praised the cooperation between the Lao provincial Military Headquarters with Vietnam ‘s Military Zone 2 as well as a number of provincial commands.
He informed representatives of Luang Prabang’s Military Headquarters of the outcome of the talks with the delegation from the General Department of Politics under the Lao Defence Ministry, emphasising the importance of enhancing solidarity, cooperation and mutual assistance between the two armies.
He said he hopes Lao officers and soldiers will fulfil their tasks successfully, contributing to provincial and national socio-economic development.
At the meeting, he was also briefed on the provincial situation and military training.
Earlier on the same day, he held talks with Lao Deputy Defence Minister and Director of the General Politics Department of the Lao People’s Army (LPA) Sengneun Saynhalath.
The two sides have agreed to promote cooperation between their army units and enhance security links with the aim to build a shared borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
