The Asian Development Bank has provided US$200,000 to develop a project to improve rural infrastructure in the central region, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Infrastructure work includes construction of roads, irrigation, traditional markets, and clean water system, and coastal protection work. The project will be carried out in 13 provinces: Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Kon Tum, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Thua Thien – Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa.

63 social housing projects to be carried out
According to the Ministry of Construction, there are currently 63 social housing projects, with a total of 40,000 apartments, being developed in 16 localities in the country.

Help for local firms considering EU market
The EU will fund EUR2.5 million ($3.3 million) to help enhance the participation of local business associations, universities and research institutes in preparing trade and investment policies and approaching the EU market.
A meeting on the programme will be held at the EU Delegation to Viet Nam office in Ha Noi on July 25.
