The 5th International Documentary Film Festival is being held in Hanoi from June 5-14.
The event will present Belgian films, and also films from seven European countries, namely, Germany, Sweden, France, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and UK, as well as works of the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio of Vietnam.
Vietnamese directors of documentary films and foreign directors including Jasna Krajinovic from Belgium, Patrick Chauvel from France and Heidi Specogna of Germany will take part in the film event.
The Film Festival will also include ‘ChopShots Southeast Asia Travelling Festival’ in Hanoi. ‘ChopShots’ is an international festival for documentary films focusing on Southeast Asia and is held annually in Jakarta.
Selected films from Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia and the Philippines will be screened.
In Ho Chi Minh City the International Documentary Film Festival will take place from June 10-29.
Films will be screened at National Studio for Documentary and Scientific Film in Hanoi and at Hoa Sen University in Ho Chi Minh City.
