“Brave” to be screened in Vietnam

The 3D Pixar cartoon “Brave” will be dubbed in Vietnamese and officially open on the big screen in Vietnam on July 6.

The film, directed by Andrews and Chapman, is the thirteenth 3D film from Pixar Animation Studios.

Set in the rugged and mysterious ancient Scottish Highlands, “Brave” follows the heroic journey of Merida, the headstrong daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor who also happens to be a skilled archer.

Determined to change her fate, Merida defies an age-old custom that is sacred to the unruly and uproarious lords of the land: the massive Lord MacGuffin, surly Lord Macintosh and cantankerous Lord Dingwall, and unleashes chaos in the kingdom.

When she turns to an eccentric witch for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish and the ensuing peril forces Merida to harness all of her resources, including her mischievous triplet brothers, to undo a beastly curse and discover the meaning of true bravery.

In the Vietnamese version of the movie, singer Bao Thy reads the voice of Merida and drama artist Huu Chau performs the voice of King Fergus.
